I have long been interested in fundamental issues in physics, such as general relativity, quantum field theory, and quantum gravity within the framework of string theory, where not only are we required to play with the abstruse objects at the formal level, but also required to develop numerical schemes to go beyond the regime where the analytical method is applicable.

Among others, my recent research interests focus mainly on the following two directions.

  • Numerical relativity with its applications in AdS/CFT and astrophysics.

  • Covariant phase space formalism with its implications in quantum field theory and quantum gravity.
